Saving children's lives
Immediate assistance to children in a life-threatening situation
Helping children in poor and dangerous conditions. Give access to clean water, food and medical care. Support traditional communities and improve their living conditions.
How we save the children
We aim to provide professional help to children in difficult situations. This is our way of working:
1
Accepting application
Children come to us through referrals from local organizations, community groups or concerned citizens.
2
Situation assessment
We carefully analyze the child's situation and decide whether to include him or her in the project.
3
Documentation
Assign a staff member to coordinate activities, record the child in the record keeping system, including photos and video.
4
Medical aid
We organize doctor's appointments, get a diagnosis, treatment plan and monitor the recovery process.
5
Ensuring safety
If necessary, we contact the police and provide a safe place for the child.
6
Cost capture and reporting
We record treatment expenses and prepare documents for reporting to benefactors.
7
Regular monitoring
We regularly check on the child's status and provide reports for social media and donors.
8
Long-term support
If necessary, we continue to provide care until the child makes a full recovery.
Geography
We work in three unique locations, each needing help in a different way:
Kenya, Kibera Slum
This is one of the largest and poorest slum settlements in Africa, where children face daily challenges such as lack of clean water, food and medical care. The project in this location has already helped 12 children.
Burundi: Bujumbura
Here, children literally live among garbage, exposed to dangerous conditions for life and health.
Kenya, Maasai tribe
In this region, Maasai children face unique challenges related to traditional lifestyles and limited access to modern amenities.
